Enjoy a “Bay Area Views” titness hike with docent Sue Karp. Cross Panoramic Highway and take the Matt Davis trail to Boot Jack Camp. This is an easy/moderate uphill walk through forests on the Bootjack trail to the historic natural amphitheater.

We will continue to Rock Spring parking area and ascend the Mt Theater Fire Trail to Forbes Bench, where we will experience spectacular Bay Area views as we return to Pan Toll on the Upper Old Mine Trail, we drop into a beautiful Oak-Bay forest.

  • What to bring: Come prepared. Wear good hiking shoes/boots. Bring plenty of water, lunch and snacks. Hiking poles are recommended on this mountain.
  • Participation: Hikes are limited to 20 people per leader. First come, first serve. Be on time to allow for parking and meeting with your group. No entrance fee. No pets (unless otherwise specified).
  • Cancellation policy: Rain or winds above 30 mph will cancel.
  • Parking: Pantoll, Bootjack, and East Peak trailheads require an $8 parking fee (exact change or check).
