Bay Area’s Biggest Padel Showdown at Embarcadero Plaza (Sept. 19-21)

The Bay Area Padel Cup returns for its first-ever team tournament, hosted by Park Padel to celebrate their second anniversary. Modeled after the Laver Cup, Team Europe faces Team World in a three-day competition featuring NorCal’s top padel players. Matches, opening ceremonies, and community gatherings will be held at Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco. Free for spectators; participation is exclusive to Park Padel members.

Park Padel is turning 2, and we’re celebrating in style—with our first-ever Members-Only Padel Cup. Inspired by the Laver Cup, Team Europe will face off against Team World in a high-energy, three-day battle showcasing NorCal’s top padel talent. This isn’t just a tournament—it’s a milestone moment. A celebration of how far our community has come since we first introduced padel to the Bay, and a glimpse into the exciting future we’re building together.

Who Is Eligible?

Any Park Padel member with an active membership can try out and compete in the tournament.

What Are The Requirements To Try Out?

To be considered for the roster, you must:

Take one clinic with one of our coaches (choose based on which team—World or Europe—you qualify for) between now until Saturday, August 30th. Let your coach know you want to be considered.

OR

Attend Tryouts on Friday, August 29th.

Be available to participate in Media Day on September 6 or 7th.

Be available to play during the Padel Cup tournament (September 19–21, 2025).

How Are The Teams Chosen?

Players will be evaluated based on performance, sportsmanship, and team chemistry. Each team coaches will select their roster to build the strongest possible lineup for their side across 3 competition levels: Advanced, Intermediate, and Advanced Beginner.

What Can I Expect During Tournament Weekend?

Get ready for a full weekend of matches, celebrations, and community fun. From opening ceremonies to post-match gatherings, players will be in the spotlight—competing in front of members, friends, and special guests. Expect big energy, packed crowds, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

How Much Does It Cost?

• Tryouts (Aug 29th): Free of charge OR

• Clinic (Aug 18 – 30th): Member Clinic Price

If selected: $40 entry fee to secure your spot on the team.
