Dr. Aaron Lington and his Quartet will play all new settings and arrangements of compositions by Sting.

Lington is the Coordinator of Jazz Studies at San José State University, Director of the San Jose Jazz High School All Stars, and a faculty member of the Texas Music Festival Jazz Institute. His performing and compositional credits include collaborations with the University of North Texas One O’Clock Lab Band, Maynard Ferguson, the BBC Radio Orchestra, the Count Basie Orchestra, Doc Severinsen, Joe Lovano, Jamie Davis, and many more. He was recognized in the 55th and 57th Annual Downbeat Magazine Critic’s Poll as a “Rising Star” in the Baritone Saxophone category, and won awards for both his playing and writing from Downbeat and ASCAP.
