In Eight is Not Enough, Rainbow Chamber Players of the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony perform Octets/Nonets by Beethoven, Mozart, and Gounod with Brian Thorsett, Tenor and Jessica Bejarano, conductor.

Live program notes will be presented by Cariwyl Hebert of Salon97. Reception to follow.

Launched in 2008, Bay Area Rainbow Symphony (BARS; http://bars-sf.org) is an orchestra dedicated to increasing visibility and challenging stereotypes of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) composers, instrumentalists, and performing artists. BARS performs ambitious repertory to a high standard, connecting with and bridging audiences from all communities and backgrounds.
