One Billion Rising 2018: Flashmob to End Violence Against Women

On February, one billion women and those who love them will walk out, dance, rise up and demand an end to violence against women and girls.

One Billion Rising For Justice is a call to survivors to break the silence and release their stories. The campaign is a recognition that we cannot end violence against women without looking at the intersection of poverty, racism, war, the plunder of the environment, capitalism, imperialism, and patriarchy.

Learn the One Billion Rising “Break the Chain” Dance and join the flashmob.

The Jewish Community Center of SF is proud to celebrate V-Day with One Billion Rising 2014, a global movement to end violence against women and girls.

Gather for a day of empowering activities including:

  • 10–11 am, at the JCCSF: “Until the Violence Stops” VDay Documentary Film Screening
  • 1–2 pm, at the JCCSF: Self-Defense Basics demo workshop with Impact Bay Area
  • 4 pm, at San Francisco City Hall: One Billion Rising
  • 4:30 pm, at the JCCSF: Shabbat V-Day Celebration honoring V-Day, AJWS, We Believe Campaign, and Global Justice Fellowship
