Join in for an evening of drinks, conversation, and collaboration for the third edition of the Binary Salon. The Binary Salons are a place where artists who are working at the intersection of art + technology can come together to share ideas and practices.
The Binary Salon will be held in conjunction with the opening reception for Halation: Without Light There is No Shadow, featuring installations by LED artist Christopher Schardt, interactive artist Marpi, and new media artists ecco screen.
On June 21 at 6 pm, they will feature a new set of artists who use technologies to engage the public in unique and thoughtful ways.
Following presentations by Lauren Bedal & Travis Bennett, Cere Davis, and Christopher Schardt, guests are invited to gather under Schardt’s enchanting canopy, Constellation, and play with Marpi’s immersive projection, Aquarium.
Lauren Bedal & Travis Bennett: This duo creates collaborative performances built with OpenPerform. OpenPerform is an open source platform for generating real-time, virtual dance performance with motion capture technology as well as other motion capture VR films.
