Event Details

Freespace Pop-Up Community Center

Freespace is a pop-up community center focused on hacking the civic experience. It is hosted in a 14,000 sqft warehouse in S0Ma, San Francisco, envisioned and implemented entirely by you.

Freespace was originally just a one month project, but it was extended to two months thanks to successful Indiegogo campaign. They’re now open periodically (check their schedule). They host a wide array of events and projects like classes, music, art, silent discos, yoga, a free bikeshare, community engagement and field trips, and more than a few silly costumes.

Fix those holes in your pants, learn to sew a button back on or create something fabulous that you’ve been dreaming about at the Bitchin’ Stitchin’ Sewing Workshop on Monday, June 10, 2013.

If you have a sewing machine, bring it by, along with any extra sewing materials you have around your house – thread, scraps, elastic, etc.

They’ll be helping out beginners and allowing experts to just run with it.

This event will be held in the movement room.
