Event Details

The Center for Sex and Culture Gallery hosts a book release party for Katie Gilmartin’s illustrations for her noir mystery entitled Blackmail, My Love which is set in San Francisco in the Dark Ages of Queerdom: 1951.

Performance adapted from the novel of the legendary drag artist José Sarria doing a stand-up routine about Alfred Kinsey, followed by a rousing chorus of Sarria’s favorite “God Save Us Nelly Queens,” led by Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc. Fifties hors d’oeuvres will be served by Sister Penny Costal. ’50s attire is welcome and encouraged.
