Event Details

Blush Wine Bar brings back another Comedy Night on Wednesday, October 8. 2014.

They’re showcasing fabulously funny comedians in an intimate cozy environment with Ben Feldman (Cobb’s/Punch Line) and Steve Lee (World Series of Comedy)

Comedy Lineup:

Ben Feldman
Ben Feldman is a standup comedian based in San Francisco (originally from the East Coast) who works the Bay Area’s top comedy clubs including the San Francisco Punchline, the San Jose Improv, Cobb’s Comedy Club, and Rooster T. Feathers, as well as clubs and venues throughout California and beyond. Ben has worked with Robin Williams, Mike Birbiglia, Chris Kattan, Rick Overton, Jeff Richards, Steven Pearl, and Jeremy Hotz to name a few.

Jessica Sele
Oakland based comic Jessica Sele got her comedy start in the town of Bellingham, Washington. There she hosted many community events, performed a one woman variety act for Ladyfest Bellingham, produced shows featuring acts like Hari Kondabolu, toured the west coast with a feminist variety act named “The Hott Mess Shit Show” and won 1st place in Western Washington University’s “Last Comic Standing” in fall 2010 (no affiliation with the NBC television series of the same name). She has since performed at venues such as the Seattle Comedy Underground and alongside acts such as the Upright Citizen’s Brigade, Ryan Stiles and Marga Gomez. From topics like failed attempts at love, masturbation, and the end of time, Jessica’s comedy is hysterical, incisive, hella queer, and deeply weird. http://jessicasele.com/

Drew Harmon
Drew Harmon is a comedian, writer and one-time Bay Area Traffic and Weather TV reporter. Drew has been performing standup for more than six years to varying degrees of success and humility and is the creator and writer of the San Francisco Burger Blog, which was named one of the top ten Burger sites on the web, although they also said it was “very weird.” He has also been seen and heard on other television and radio airwaves around the country but will soon be coming to your town to help you party down.

Steve Lee
Steve Lee may be the only disabled Chinese comedian working in America. His comedy is mainly centered around living with disability and racism, and his content is remarkably original. Rather than being encumbered by stereotypes, Steve is vitalized by them, and winks back at us through their transparencies. He blends storytelling and punchlines to convey his belief that we are all equal – equally ignorant, fallible, weird, and wanting to be free. For Steve, comedy is a way to get people to laugh about their own shortcomings, including himself. Audiences are left feeling like they’ve witnessed a rare talent at work. He was invited to perform at the Burbank Comedy Festival and on the final round at the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas.

Emily Epstein White
Comedian, storyteller, and writer Emily Epstein White has been trapped in a self-cleaning toilet, has stitches from a treadmill accident, and once hung off the front of a truck like a hood ornament for half an avenue to avoid being run over. She performs all around New York City, the Northeast, and the West Coast, (not to mention a boat in the middle of the Yangtze River in China). She has been featured in many festivals throughout the country and publications such as the Boston Globe, Gawker, and she was on Good Morning America. She can be heard through the speakers of your computer four days a week on the humor and current events podcast TWiB in the Morning (http://twib.fm/category/amtwib/).

Stefani Silverman
Stefani is a local comic and the producer of Blush! Comedy Night. You can see her acerbic, yet kindly comedy at venues all over the Bay Area, and has performed on San Francisco’s unique comedy celebration, Comedy Day. See more at www.stefanisilermancomedy.com twitter: @stefsilverman
