Event Details

Body Sings is an evening full of merry-making and co-created magic where we will breathe, listen, move our bodies and go on a sound journey together.

There will be story telling, nourishing food and a silent auction. This evening is a fundraiser for the “Sing as I am” project.

“Sing as I am” Project

Home-free and traveling around the world, Julie Dragonfly shares the healing power of sound and is writing a book about it. Operating under the gift economy model, Julie shares the gifts of music and yoga and accepts donations as they are offered.

Ever since she started singing 6 years ago, Julie has shared music in many unexpected places. With nature spirits in the gardens at Findhorn Eco-village, with passers-by in train stations, with inmates in prison, with homeless folks under highway ramps, with children and adults in yoga classes, with family in her home town of Zion, IL.
