While serving for five years as an American diplomat in Brazil, Peter Solmssen was able to photograph and film Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Salvador. Capturing the different cultures of each city in such a rich country during the 1960s.

These moments in Brazil show how the beach, industrial improvements, and weather influence this diverse melting pot.

The 60s in Brazil is a show where you can compare not only architecture, lifestyle, personality, and culture to the neighboring major cities in Brazil but also compare them to our own countries travel through pop culture and time.
