Brazzissimo!, an exciting and entertaining ten-piece brass ensemble made up of San Francisco Bay Area musicians, presents a concert of music from around the world on Sunday, Mother’s Day, May 9, 2010 at 1:00pm.
The music will include such classics as Bach’s Contrapunctus IX and Bruckner’s Locus Iste arranged for brass. Important and entertaining suites by Chris Hazell (Three More Cats) and Anthony DiLorenzo (A Little Russian Circus) are featured. The program will include familiar jazz standards such as Caravan and A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, spectacular Latin compositions by German Brass Music Director Enrique Crespo, and more.
