This event is curated by the Bay Area Science Festival as part of their year-round calendar of science events.

The festival takes place each fall with 10 days of science and technology lectures, games, exhibits, workshops and hands-on activities all over the Bay Area.

In recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Congresswoman Jackie Speier will host a panel discussion about Breast Cancer on its latest research & options.

Featured topics will include:

  • Screening: The Wisdom Study, Precision Medicine
  • DCIS – Ductal Carcinoma in Situ: Is it cancer? Treatment Options
  • Treatments: Drug Trials, Genetic Testing & Personalized Medicine
  • Patient Empowerment: How to Prepare for a Consultation, Advanced Breast Cancer Program
  • Breast Cancer Survivor: Deborah Cohan, MD faced her breast cancer surgery with life-affirming dancing with the doctors and nurses in the operating room which became a YouTube viral sensation.
