Have you heard about the 747 heading to the Playa this year? It’s really happening. It’s going to be epic. And you can be a part of bringing this awesome project to life with the crew from Big Imagination. Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the fasten seat belt sign. You’re about to take off for the journey of a lifetime, and welcome on board.

Big Imagination’s big idea is The 747 Project — a total conversion of a 1985 Boeing 747 into a mobile art experience. In other words, Big Imagination will be transforming a 231 foot long double-decker airplane into a Burning Man art car.

If that sounds like a crazy project, Big Imagination would agree with you. But true to their name, they think big, and they’ve assembled a motley crew of artists, engineers, designers, builders, and logistics wizards to make this seemingly impossible idea a reality

They are all travelers on a journey. Wherever your next destination is, the 747 Flight Crew invites you to the official send off at Public Works—the First Inaugural Pre-Burn Party Fundraiser.

As they preparing the cabins for the flight to the playa, they hope that you’ll take a break from packing to dance the night away with them. They’ll have Marques Wyatt & Nikita in the cockpit spinning some great beats for everyone. And the 747 Flight Crew will be on hand to ensure you have the best in-flight service ever.

Big Imagination is a nonprofit that fuels bold, visionary and inspiring projects for the betterment of humanity. And the ones who are converting a Boeing 747-300 jumbo jet into an epic art installation that will premier at Burning Man this year.
