Celebrate Cal Day at the UC Botanical Garden at their annual open house. Admission to the garden is free all day with free shuttles running every 15 minutes from campus Evans Hall stop.

Butterfly Discovery Station
Come learn about butterfly life cycles with live specimens and paper activities with a special film screening of monarch lifecycles. Garden volunteer and ‘Caterpillar Lady’ Sally Levinson will lead fun drop-in activities on the Garden’s tour deck. All ages

Pollinators & Flowers Discovery Station
The bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds you can observe in the Garden are just some of the world’s 200,000 species of pollinators. Discover how insects, birds, bats, and wind are essential in the life cycles of the crops and other plants. Learn how flower forms and colors relate to their pollinators. All ages

Julia Morgan Hall Open House with Docents
Since 2014, the UC Botanical Garden has been the home of famed architect Julia Morgan’s Senior Women’s Hall, built in 1911 and listed on both California and national historic registries.The building stands as a monument to the status of women at UC Berkeley, representing their first social center and once again, serves this social function in a new setting. Join Garden docents, to learn about Julia Morgan’s life and work and experience this architectural treasure, generally only open for special programs and private events.
