Come see California Book Award-winner, Alice LaPlante, in conversation with Sarah Lapido Manyika. Admission is free, but capacity is limited, so come early.

Alice LaPlante teaches creative writing at San Francisco State University and Stanford University, where she is a former Wallace Stegner Fellow. She is author of five books, including her new novel, “Turn of Mind,” which became a New York Times, NPR, and American Independent Booksellers Association bestseller within a month of release.

Sarah Ladipo Manyika was raised in Nigeria and has lived in Kenya, France, and England. She is the author of “In Dependence” (Legend Press, 2008) and Editor of “Pulsations, The Journal of New African Writing.” She currently lives in California where she teaches at San Francisco State University. She is a Hedgebrook alum and serves on the Board of the Museum of the African Diaspora.
