If you’re an Afghan man in your late 20s to early 30s, you can have a shot at the lead role in the new film “The Fixer” directed by Ian Olds. No experience is necessary.

The Fixer is a story of Osman, a charismatic 28-year-old war journalist from Afghanistan who finds himself working as a petty crime reporter for a small town newspaper in Northern California.
Looking for: Afghan man, late 20s to early 30s
Bring:
- Non-returnable current photo (cell phone photo taken day of audition is best – a simple 3”x5” color photo)
- Resume (including acting experience), if you have one

Director Ian Olds was nominated for an Emmy for “Fixer: The Taking of Ajmal Naqshbandi,” and short-listed for the Academy Award for “Occupation Dreamland” and “Francophrenia.” The film also stars James Franco and Melissa Leo.
