Comedy night with Heather Gold, Patrick Ford, Kurt Weitzmann, Joey Avery. Hosted by Mike Capozzola
Patrick Ford recently returned to the Bay Area after spending most of the past 10 years in LA where he regularly performed at The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip and was host of the Comediaplex show at The Westside Comedy Theater. He has appeared on Last Comic Standing, CBS Mobile Comedy Cage Match, and Funny or Die, and is a graduate of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade improv program.
Comedian and writer/performer Heather Gold is a hilarious and passionate voice for authenticity. She appears in colleges, venues and media across North America including SXSW, SF Sketchfest, SXSW, and NPR. She’s best known for her interactive and conversational style and baked over 50,000 cookies with audiences in her hit interactive show “I Look Like an Egg, But I Identify as a Cookie,” which was selected by The Oakland Tribune as “Best of the Bay Area” and won Curve Magazine’s Lesbian Theatre Award.
Mike Capozzola is a Bay Area based stand up comedian and a published cartoonist. He’s also appeared in a batch of TV commercials that you’ve shut off. He’s performed in London, Edinburgh, Vancouver and Jerusalem.
The Cheap Laugh: Every third Thursday at 8:30pm, at The Second Act, The Cheap Laugh features local talent, national acts and surprise guests in an intimate comedy show. Beer & Wine served / 21+ to drink.
