Event Details

Chicken John, showman and one-time mayoral candidate is staging a “Puke In” on Saturday afternoon – he’s mad as hell that La Cocina, a non-profit that teaches immigrant, low-income women how to sell their native food will be opening up a food truck in Dolores Park with the city’s blessing. This is after Blue Bottle Coffee pulled out of the running for a food truck earlier.

It’s not that he doesn’t like La Cocina, but he’s protesting the fact that he feels our public parks are now for sale and that permits for commercial enterprises have been issued and he doesn’t like the fact that Dolores Park is seen as a profit center for the city.

Chicken John’s Puke-In Protest

Dolores Park, SF

We’ll let Chicken John explain it, “I’m gonna go puke on a trailer this weekend because no one knows that this weekend a commercial entity is going to open a store in Dolores Park and is doing it without anyone knowing.”

So he’s recruiting other pukers to protest and we’re just not sure how this event is going to turn out, but it will certainly be interesting.
