You’re invited to the unveiling ceremony for “Skybridge” a temporary public art installation part of the Central Subway Temporary Art in Chinatown at 10 am on Friday, July 31, 2015. Please bring your sunglasses and prepare to be blindfolded, and surprised.

Skybridge is a stunning art piece by Beili Liu, “Sky Bridge“. Beili Liu is an internationally­ exhibited artist from northeast China who moved to the United States in 1995. Beili attended the University of Michigan and graduated from the University of Tennessee. She is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas. Beili has had numerous solo exhibitions at prestigious international venues, receiving numerous awards for her art and teaching.

Central Subway Temporary Art is a multi-year public art initiative celebrating the Central Subway coming to Chinatown and contemporary culture in the community. Led by the Chinese Culture Center, this collaboration includes creative place making strategies with murals, artist workshops, and an original composition by Jon Jang, “Central Pacific, Central Subway.“
