Going to San Francisco’s Chinese New Year Parade? Head to the Chinese Historical Society before the parade for a full day of programs including a dragon dance performance, special events and more to welcome in the Lunar New Year.

Saturday, February 24th Program Schedule:

  • 11:00 am – Museum opens
    11:00 am – 4:00 pm – Living With Dignity-Thriving In Community photo exhibition, courtesy of the YWCA. Mark and the YWCA team will be on sight for questions and to tell you more about the project between 11-2pm.
    11:30 am- Lion Dance performance by Kei Lun Martial Arts
    11:45 am- 3:30 pm – Mural painting with Dragon School in CHSA’s learning center
    11:45-3:30 pmChalk mural drawing with Chalk Riot at Gordon J Lau’s lower playground
    4:00 pm– Museum closes. Chinese New Year Parade starts 5:15 pm
