CiNCO de MAYO Bicycle Ride Out to benefit the Mission Food Hub. The Ride-Out serves as a healthy community and family event
Cultura y Arte Nativa de las Americas (CANA) will hold a Family Bike Ride-Out to celebrate Cinco de Mayo to raise funds for the Mission Food Hub. The event takes place Sunday, May 2 at 1:00 pm.
The ride begins at Raza Park – Potrero Del Sol Park, 25th Street & San Bruno Avenue, in the Mission District and ends at Fisherman’s Wharf.
Due to restrictions put in place during the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual Cinco De Mayo Grand Parade and Festival will not take place in 2021. The Ride-Out will serve as an alternative celebration for those seeking a healthy community and family event in partnership with Mission Neighborhood Center and with support of Grants for the Arts.
Schedule of event:
- The event will kick-off with Aztec dancers performing an indigenous ceremonia.
- 11am – Breakfast and snacks will be served to participants at 11 a.m. at Raza Park.
- 1pm – The bike ride out begins at 1 p.m. at 24th St. and San Bruno St.
- The route will take riders west on 24th Street, north on Mission Street east on 16th Street to 3rd Street to the Embarcadero; and ending at Fisherman’s Wharf.
