City Creatures is a one-day exhibition at Terra Gallery exploring the hidden ecology of city life through art, science, and the perspective of people who work closely with urban systems.

The event brings together artists, scientists, environmental professionals, and Pestec’s field perspective on pests, wildlife, waste, buildings, and infrastructure.

The free daytime open house includes installations, talks, and interactive work. The evening continues with music and a fundraiser benefiting USF’s Gellert Family Business Center.

• 2pm-6pm: free to the public, educational craft fair with speakers, art, vendors, and music
• 6pm-11pm: ticketed fundraiser & halloween party with art, vendors, live music, food and drinks

Street parking is available after 5pm, with a garage located across the street. Public transit is also convenient, with a 10-minute walk from Montgomery Station. Kids are welcome, and costumes are encouraged!

Urban Reflections

When you see a pest, what do we see? Many people see something dirty or unkempt. We want to challenge this narrative and invite you to look into the black mirror.

“Pests” are symptoms of human beings.

Halloween offers a natural moment to explore themes of fear, perception, and the unseen.

This pop-up art exhibition centers on urban ecology and sustainability, using “pests” as a lens to examine human behavior, infrastructure, and built systems.
