18 Hour Rescue Effort Saves Horse & Pony from Mudslide
Thanks to 23ABC News for sharing the news about the trapped horse and pony who were stuck in a dangerous mudslide in Monterey County.
Many local firefighter agencies, in coordination with SPCA Monterey County, worked for 18 hours to rescue the animals after the Atmospheric River stormed its way through California.
After a tiring rescue effort, the animal were taken to SPCA to be evaluated; thankfully, they are expected to be ok.

According to @SPCAmc, a horse and a pony were rescued after being stuck in mud for up to 18 hours. They were found on Limekiln Road in unincorporated Salinas, off of River Road. The area experienced a debris flow from the River Fire burn scar that trapped the two equines. pic.twitter.com/W81RkSWSwK
