The annual Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema is a showcase of short films, a film crawl, live music and awards.

It’s your chance to check out the work of local filmmakers and musicians in parks, playgrounds and smaller venues around Bernal Heights, San Francisco.

Thursday, 9/8 – 2016 Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema: Kick-Off Party, Films & Music

  • 7 pm to 8 pm: Reception and music performance by the electrifying trio, StringQuake
  • 8 pm to 8:30 pm: “Best of Bernal” and “Spirit of Bernal” Awards Presentation
  • 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm: Film Showing

Friday, 9/9 – “Film Crawl on Cortland” 2016
Cortland Avenue, San Francisco

The Film Crawl sites present short screenings that run throughout the evening, requiring the audience to walk to multiple locations along the short 3-block distance to see a selection of on-going films starting at 7, 8 and 9 pm on Friday, September 9, 2016.

2016 venues include:

Saturday, 9/10 – 2016 Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema Finale: Live Jazz & Films
Precita Park, San Francisco

Enjoy music and films as you picnic in the park with the Master of Ceremonies, Ian Williams.

Under the Stars Schedule:

  • 6:30 to 7:30 pm: The Latin Heat Jazz quintet performs dynamic music with soaring melodies and fiery Latin rhythms using authentic Latin percussion inspired by the exciting music from Puerto Rico, Cuba, Latin America and New York.
  • 7:45 pm: Films for General Audience
  • 8:45 pm: Films for Youth and Adults
