Other menu highlights include buckwheat noodles in cold broth, seafood pancakes, and Korean hot pot. Guests can also opt for a curated set menu priced at $95 per person. Another standout feature is Basquia, Jagalchi’s in-house bakery. The bakery will specialize in rice flour-based goods, crafted using innovative air-jet wet milling technology to achieve a texture and taste comparable to wheat flour. Among the bakery’s unique offerings is sulpang, a soft, light bread traditionally made with rice wine. Another highlight is a rice-flour bread bowl designed to hold Korean rice cakes, providing a modern twist on a Bay Area classic.

The complex is being built in a former JC Penney space at Serramonte Center, transforming it into a vibrant hub for Korean cuisine and culture. It will also serve as the headquarters for Basquia, supplying existing locations in Sunnyvale and Fremont.

Jagalchi is the latest venture from Mega Mart, an international Korean supermarket chain with two other Bay Area locations. The company plans to expand the concept globally after launching its first location in Daly City. The choice of the Bay Area reflects the region’s appreciation for diverse and high-quality dining experiences.

With its grand opening on the horizon, Jagalchi promises to be a landmark destination for food lovers and a celebration of Korean culinary traditions. Bay Area residents can look forward to experiencing everything Korean under one roof.
