8 New Venues Now Permitted for Live Music in SF

SF has approved 8 new permits for live performances including Flanahan’s Pub, Palm House & The Halfway Club

Thanks to SF Gate for sharing the news that the San Francisco Entertainment Commission has recently approved 8 new permits for live performances.

The newest venues now permitted to host live performances include:

  • Flanahan’s Pub, 3805 Noriega St – The Outer Sunset’s Irish Pub, Flanahan’s has secured a yearlong permit to host live music outdoors in their parklet on Sundays
  • Palm House, 2032 Union St. –  Cow Hollow’s tropical cocktail bar, serving up Carribean fare, will now also offer a Billiard Parlor and live performances on their private patio
  • Third Floor, 333 Battery St. – Located in the boutique hotel The Lay, The Third Floor can now host outdoor concerts and live entertainment on their private patio
  • Xian Bistro, 2543 Noriega St. – The Outer Sunset noodle shop is temporarily closed, but it has now a has permit in place for live entertainment
  • Mercury Café, 201 Octavia St. – Lower Haight cafe can now host outdoor amplified music at the front of the business in their parklet
  • The Halfway Club, 1166 Geneva Ave. – Excelsior tavern with midwestern Dad-basment vibes is now approved for live entertainment on their private patioEvents:
    LionDanceME, Grant Ave between California St & Washington St – Now you can check out outdoor lion dance performances in Chinatown on Saturdays and Sundays from April 6, 2024 through March 30, 2025
    Outer Sunset Farmers Market & Mercantile, 37th Ave between Ortega St and Quintara St – The Outer Sunset Farmers Market can now host live music on Sundays from April 7, 2024 through March 30, 2025
