Be among the first to see a film at Alamo Drafthouse before the Grand Opening

The big official opening of the Alamo Drafthouse at the Mission Theater isn’t until this weekend’s Star Wars movies, but they’ve quietly opened up in advance with a series of strange $5 movies.

Monday night see “The Funtastic World of Santasploitation” presented by the American Genre Film Archive.

We’ve raided the American Genre Film Archive for the best-of-the-best in bizarro Christmas lunacy. Adults dressed in dollar-store animal costumes! Delusional Christmas clowns! SATAN! And to top it all off, a brand new 2K transfer of the most infamous full-length Santasploitation mind-melter of all time — THE MAGIC CHRISTMAS TREE! We cannot be held responsible for any lasting trauma.

Be among the first to check out the new theater with five screens, a full food and drink menu (including milkshakes and craft cocktails), and the first theater in North America equipped with Sony’s 515DS Dual-4K projector

Here’s the upcoming film schedule
