Thanks to KRON4 for sharing the news that the U.S. Department of Transportation just granted BART $330.8 million from the American Rescue Plan funds.
The funds were granted to help BART recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. More than $30 billion dollars of the American Rescue Plan Act budget has been reserved for public transportation.
American Rescue Plan’s funds come ‘from the $26.6 billion allocated by statutory formulas to urban and rural areas, tribal governments, and for the enhanced mobility of seniors and individuals with disabilities.’
