On December 14-16 you’ll get a sneak peak at watching the art of The Bay Lights during its tuning phase in advance of the permanent relaunch in January 2016. The artist, Leo Villareal has flown into SF and be testing/sequencing Tuesday and Wednesday nights from Pier 14.

The tuning will start at approximately 6pm each night (time and length is subject to change, so be patient… remember this is just testing) And Leo is planning to program and sequence for a few hours… Weather, technology, etc., will contribute to how long he works each night.

So get a sneak peak at the new program – and then after this week the lights will go dark until the relaunch on January 30th in time for Super Bowl 50.

>> Best viewing location: Anywhere with a view of the northern face of the west span (SF side) of Bay Bridge – like Embarcadero, Ferry Building or Treasure Island.
