Angel Island Ferry is Back This Week (with New Safety Rules)
Angel Island State Park has just reopened for socially-distant outside exploring via ferry. Experience one of the most beautiful and historically rich islands in the San Francisco Bay. This hidden gem is a wonderful destination for fun, adventure, and American history.
Starting July 2, 2020, The Angel Island Ferry is reopening their service from Tiburon to Angel Island State Park. (please note that service from San Francisco is still on hold)
Just a few important points:
- The vessel capacity has been reduced in order to maintain the social distancing rules.
- Advanced online reservations will be required in order to ride the ferry.
- Face coverings will be required while waiting in line and while onboard the ferry.
- Their staff will provide frequent cleanings of commonly touched surfaces to help protect customers.
- Cafe occupancy limited to 4 guests at a time (2 guests per group)

(*Children under age 3 are free, but need to be included in your booking for capacity control.)
Be sure to follow the new safety protocols, to help keep everyone safe and healthy while on the Island. Due to our Covid-19 friendly guidelines, Angel Island will not be offering bike rental during the initial opening period.
