Big Crowds at Dolores Park This Weekend

UCSF doctor disappointed after seeing large crowds, few masks and people spilling outside social-distance circles

Thanks to KPIX for letting us know about the big crowds hitting Dolores Park this weekend thanks to the great weather.

After viewing the footage of the park with large crowds, few masks and many spilling out of the social-distance circles painted on the grass, UCSF Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Peter Chin-Hong was disappointed saying, “if you have enough noses and mouths together, it doesn’t take very far for the virus to jump from somebody’s droplet to somebody elses nose or mouth.”

Need some outdoors? Skip Dolores Park and find a park near you: If you do need some place outside to relax and enjoy, remember that San Francisco has over 220 parks and open spaces – and in 2017 became the first city in the nation where all residents have access to a park within a 10-minute walk.
