CA’s New Volunteering Vaccination Program
Roll up your sleeves… California just a launched a brand new program to help vaccinate California.
California residents can sign up for MyTurnVolunteer to help speed up COVID-19 vaccinations and save lives. In exchange for your time, after volunteering for four hours or more, you’ll be eligible for a vaccine at the end of your shift upon approval of the clinic administrator. Just note, most vaccination sites are looking for 8 hour shifts.
Californians can help accelerate vaccine distribution by supporting on-site operations at clinics and vaccine sites. Sign up through the MyTurnVolunteer website to find a mass vaccination site or clinic with availability.
They need both medical and general support teams. General volunteers can help with vaccination operations by greeting attendees, sanitizing areas, controlling traffic, data entry, and more.
New vaccination sites are being set up over the next few weeks, so if you don’t see an opportunity in your area, check back soon. You can also sign up for updates, and they’ll notify you.
General volunteers must be over 18 years old, and have a government-issued identification card, and must undergo required training.
