Chalk the Panhandle

A giant winding art project just in time for Outside Lands
By - posted 8/6/2015 No Comment

Outside Lands is this weekend, August 7-9, 2015, and the director of the Eco Lands area had a fun vision to chalk the entirety of the Panhandle Mixed-Use path with art, positive thoughts, riddles, statements of fact – whatever you want to express.

The main idea is to extend the cheer of the festival outside the confines of the park and they need your help to make it happen. Imagine all the good folks riding their bike to the festival hitting the Panhandle and being overwhelmed with an early burst of color and community, setting the tone for day for these folks.

So, here’s the plan…

Gather at the McKinley Statue at 8 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2015. They will provide the chalk and a few libations. Chalking will commence. Laughs will be had. New friendships and random encounters will blossom. They’ll keep the spirit of SF alive for at least one more night.

Bring a blinky light if you’ve got it for visibility on the path.
