City Hall Snow Park

Big annual snow festival at Civic Center Saturday & Sunday

It’s winter, so it must be time for snow in San Francisco, right?

Kids can sled down a big snow hill as Mayor Ed Lee hosts the 4th Annual Free Holiday Snow Park in front of city hall with tons of snow on Saturday & Sunday, December 14 & 15, 2013.

From our understanding the snow runs are only open for children, but it still sounds awfully beautiful to see City Hall surrounded in snow.

Free, but canned food donations are requested

  • Free saucers for the kids to borrow to slide down the hill – but they may be limited so arrive early.
  • Rain may cancel, but we’re told there’s a tent being brought in for 2013.

On Saturday & Sunday in San Francisco Civic Center Plaza, kids can enjoy sliding down a snow hill and free activities and entertainment for the entire family.

This weekend, San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee hosts the fourth annual Holiday Snow Park in front of City Hall. From 10am – 4:30pm, Saturday and Sunday, December 14 & 15, 2013, San Francisco Civic Center’s Joseph L. Alioto Performing Arts Piazza will host a children’s snow park and other free family activities, including bouncy houses. As part of the annual “Season of Giving” attendees are encouraged to bring contributions of non-perishable food items for the San Francisco Food Bank.
