Clipper Card is Going Mobile (Finally)

A brand new mobile app you can use to pay for BART rides is launching in spring

Bartable just announced on Twitter this morning that Clipper is going mobile. A new Clipper app will be released on Apple Pay and Google Pay in the spring.

No further details have been released yet, so we’re not entirely sure what the app will be capable of. Will you load your Clipper Card through the app and wave it to enter BART and Muni? We hope so. Thankfully, BART is making it a little easier and more modern for riders.

Clipper Card will join SFMTA which already already has MuniMobile for Muni buses, trains, cable cars and paratransit rides where you purchase through the app and activate when you board.
