Thanks to NBC Bay Area for sharing the uplifting news that California has reached a key vaccination milestone: the state has now administered 2 million doses to the residents in the most  disadvantaged zip codes.

With the key target met, eligible counties are allowed to more into the less restrictive red tier. 13 counties are now allowed to move to the red “substantial” tier including Contra Costa County and Sonoma County.

The other counties in the state that made the transition include Amador, Colusa, Los Angeles, Mendocino, Mono, Orange, Placer, San Benito, San Bernardino, Siskiyou, and Tuolumne.

Now, as of March 13, all of the Bay Area is currently in the red tier.
