Thanks to SF Gate for sharing the news that San Francisco is finally getting its own Raising Cane’s.

The popular chicken chain, known for its crispy chicken fingers, signature Cane’s sauce, and buttery Texas toast, will open its first SF location at Stonestown Galleria. Set to take over the former McDonald’s space at 255 Winston Drive, the restaurant is expected to open in late summer 2026.

Raising Cane’s has been expanding rapidly in the Bay Area, with locations already in Colma, Oakland, Hayward, Fairfield, and Vacaville. A San Jose restaurant is slated to open on April 1, and a Berkeley location is also in the works.

Stonestown Galleria has seen a wave of new food-focused additions, including Marugame Udon and Kura Revolving Sushi Bar. The arrival of Raising Cane’s will add another popular dining option to the mix.

For San Franciscans who have traveled outside the city to get their Cane’s fix, the wait is almost over—though patience will be required until the restaurant officially opens its doors in 2026.
