First Ever Curling Facility in Northern California Opens in East Oakland
Thanks to ABC7 for sharing the news that Northern California now has its first-ever curling facility.
The curling community in Northern California now has its first dedicated ice facility in East Oakland. The 15,000 square feet San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club, located at 8450 Enterprise Way, has 5 sheets and offers elite-level curling conditions.
The Club offers Learn-to-Curl sessions where you can try out curling. Thousands of people have tried curling through their Learn-to-Curl events, where they offer a safe and fun introduction to curling skills and principles. They also offer a special introductory series of classes taught by United States Curling Association certified instructors.
We’re officially OPEN! 🥳 This afternoon, our long dream of building a club dedicated to curling in the Bay Area became real. We commemorated this moment with long-time member and keeper of the dream Barry Ivy throwing the ceremonial first rock 🥌 pic.twitter.com/erMRMp9gZz
