de Young Free Night & New Ed Hardy Exhibition
Celebrate “Ed Hardy: Deeper than Skin,” the first museum retrospective of the renowned tattoo artist, and local legend, Ed Hardy.
The opening night celebration in collaboration with Juxtapoz Magazine features a DJ set by Chances with Wolves, and a specialty cocktail featuring Sailor Jerry Rum concocted by San Francisco’s own Trick Dog Bar, and the opportunity to share your own tattoo testimonials.
Doors open promptly at 7:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Entry is granted on a first-come first-served basis. RSVP does not guarantee admission if the event reaches capacity.
About the Exhibition You know Ed Hardy—now go deeper. Discover how Hardy’s work—from old-school tattoo and SoCal surf culture to iconic Sailor Jerry flash—has helped revolutionize tattoo from its “outsider” status to the popular form of expression it is today. See it all in Ed Hardy: Deeper than Skin at the de Young museum.
