If it dances, rides, drives and lights up, it’s ready to go!

If it walks, dances, drives, and can be decorated with lights, it is eligible to be in the 2015 Castro Valley Light Parade. Stroll in the street for the block party at noon and then stick around for the light parade at 5:30 pm.

“Meet in the Street” Fair and Light Parade
Saturday, November 14, 2015
– Noon: Street Party begins
– 5:30 pm: Light Parade begins
Castro Valley Blvd & Santa Maria Ave, Castro Valley, CA
FREE – Register in advance if you wish to participate in the parade

At 5:30 pm, the eclectic, electric Light Parade begins. Prizes are awarded to participants in different categories. In 2014, Santa and Mrs Claus closed the parade out in their sleigh. We hope the famous couple will make an appearance in the parade this year too. In 2015, Santa has confirmed that he will be available for photos at Knudsen Ice Creamery after the parade ends.

Starting at noon, Castro Valley Blvd will be closed to traffic, and in past years, merchants brought their shops and restaurants “out to the street,” so fair-goers could shop, dine, and enjoy free music and strolling entertainment. We expect similar entertainment for 2015.

Come hungry; there’s ample restaurants and sweet shops in the area, plus there will be local food trucks abound.
