The Fillmore celebrates with free concert and festive New Orleans’ style processional

Fillmore Street comes alive with a neighborhood-wide Mardi Gras party during the annual Fat Tuesday in the Fillmore on February 12, 2013.

The celebration also will commence with a free kick-off blues concert from 5-7 pm in the Fillmore Plaza featuring the legendary Bobbie “Spider” Webb & the Smooth Blues Band and will be followed by a festive New Orleans processional down the Fillmore Corridor led by Henry Clement & the Gumbo Band with street artists and performers.
