Look up in the sky when you hear the roaring of jet engines and head down to SF’s northern waterfront and Dogpatch for San Francisco’s annual Fleet Week airshow and festival.

The 39th Annual San Francisco Fleet Week – San Francisco’s largest annual civic sponsored event. San Francisco Fleet Week is a series of free, family-friendly events that honor the contributions of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces while advancing cooperation and knowledge among civilian- and military-based Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response personnel.

Air Show & Blue Angels – Oct 11-13

Taking place over three consecutive days, this event attracts over a million people every year. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels put on a breathtaking display, while on the ground visitors enjoy a family-friendly festival featuring the Fleet Week Humanitarian Village and STEM Education Center. The show is located on Marina Green at the Fleet Week Festival Center.

Tucker and Jessy Panzer, Lucas Oil, Mike Wiskus, US Navy Parachute Team, The Leap Frogs, Air National Guard C-130, P-8 Poseidon and P-3 Orion, US Coast Guard Search and Rescue Demo

Parade of Ships – Friday, October 11 (11 am to noon)

Come see “The Fleet” enter the San Francisco Bay under the Golden Gate Bridge as visiting ships steam towards the Port of SF. San Francisco Fleet Week hosts the largest parade of ships on the West Coast.

Historically, ships visiting Fleet Week are led by San Francisco’s Fire Department fire boat and are followed by the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and Royal Canadian Navy.

Ship Tours – October 12-14 (9am to 4 pm)

Throughout Fleet Week, thousands of visitors climb aboard amphibious carriers, destroyers and cruisers docked along the Embarcadero to get a glimpse into the day-to-day lives of the sailors serving in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. Check back for ship names, as well as tour procedures and times. Admission to ship tours is first-come-first served and there’s a list of prohibited items and visitors’ guidelines.

All ship tours are free of charge.

Bark in the Park “K9 Heroes” – Saturday, October 12 (11 am-1 pm)

Join for a free event which honors the K-9 Heroes and their human friends during San Francisco Fleet Week 2019.

K-9 Heroes Bark at the Park is brought to you by the San Francisco Fleet Week Association and the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management.

High School Band Challenge – October 14 (10 am – 2 pm)

The United States Marine Corps 1st Marine Division Band kicks off this event with a stirring performance of patriotic songs and a musical celebration. The thrill of the music continues as select Bay Area high school bands then take the stage, competing for prize money to support their school music programs. (High School Performing Schedule TBA)

The Humanitarian Assistance Village – October 11-13 (10 am – 5 pm)

The Humanitarian Assistance Village (HAV) is an interactive exhibition of U.S. Military and Civil capabilities in responding to a disaster. The STEM Education Center is an integrated program designed to inspire the youth in the fields of science and technology.
