Love vegetables? Love “Free”? Love ditching work on Tuesday or Thursday mornings to get both of those things? Then you’ll love “First 50 Freebies in February.”

CUESA, the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture has put together a program for February 2011 to hand out free farmers market vegetables each Tuesday and Thursday at 10am.

Be one of the first 50 people to come to the market on any Tuesday or Thursday in February – and you’ll get a free farm-fresh treat + a recipe from one of the vendors. So far they’ve given away free forono beets from County Line Harvet and delicata squash from Everything Under the Sun Farm.

CUESA plans on announcing their future giveaways through their Facebook page and twitter page (though sometimes they forget.) Tuesday February 8th free vegetable giveaway will be pomegranates from Twin Girls Farm

What: Free Farmers Market Vegetables
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays in February 2011 – 10am
Where: Ferry Building Farmers Market, SF
How: Visit CUESA’s tent directly in front of the Ferry Building and be one of the first 50 people – Get a voucher for free produce from that day’s participating vendor
