The rock concert venue The Independent goes dark on monday night… dark knight that is.  Every so often the Indy hosts Monday night free movie screenings called Cinema Drafthouse.

Admission is free, but there’s a two-drink minimum (which we’ve never actually seen enforced). During movie nights, the Independent also usually serves pitchers of beers, something they don’t do during concerts.

Plus to helps save you some dough, rather than being forced to buy expensive movie theater food, the Indy lets you bring in your own food – either from home or from one of the tasty restaurants in the neighborhood like Little Star or Little Chihuahua.
