Think everything’s closed on Christmas Day?

The Contemporary Jewish Museum is open and free, and it’s a great chance to check out the current exhibits and a few special events during this annual CJM Community Day — an admission-free, fun-for-all extravaganza.

Schedule of events include:

Art-Making
Inspired by the birds in J. Otto Seibold and Mr. Lunch, combine patterns and colors to create your own bird to take home.

Music Performances
Grammy nominated duo—The Pop-Ups perform their music using cardboard props, hand-painted sets, and a colorful cast of original puppets; crafting a world of magic that engages, educates, and delights all ages. Performances at 1 and 2:30pm with a special “meet the puppets” workshop at 11:30am.Tickets for The Pop-Ups performances available on a first-come, first-serve basis on the day of the event and are extremely limited.

Eating
Hungry guests can enjoy a delicious menu from Wise Sons Delicatessen from 11am–3pm. (Bring cash)
