Free admission to Muir Woods & Yosemite all weekend

Sometimes you’ve just got get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy the serenity of a national park. On certain “fee-free” days throughout the year, enjoy free entrance to all national parks including Muir Woods and Yosemite Park.

Yosemite park waves their usual $20 per car fee, and Muir Woods is allowing free entry and free parking.

President’s Day Weekend – February 15-17, 2014

Participating California National Parks:

  • Cabrillo (normally there’s $5 vehicle fee and a $3 entrance fee)
  • Death Valley: $20, $10
  • Joshua Tree: $15, $5
  • Lassen Volcanic: $10, $5
  • Lava Beds: $10, $5
  • Muir Woods: $7
  • Pinnacles: $5, $3
  • San Francisco Maritime: Always Free
  • Sequoia-Kings Canyon: $20, $10
  • Whiskeytown: $10, $5
  • Yosemite:$20, $10

Free Entrance Days in the National Parks | 2014

  • January 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • February 15-17: Presidents Day weekend
  • April 19-20: opening weekend of National Park Week
  • August 25: National Park Service Birthday
  • September 27: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day

Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
