SF’s Legendary $5 Strip Club Buffet is Back
Thanks to SF Gate for sharing that one of the city’s most unexpected—and weirdly legendary—lunch deals is officially back: the $5 all-you-can-eat lunch buffet at the Gold Club in SoMa.
Yes, that Gold Club. The gentleman’s club at 650 Howard Street is reviving its ultra-affordable lunchtime tradition after a five-year hiatus, and no joke—the food is actually good. For just $5 (yep, that includes cover), you get a full buffet that has drawn a cult following over the years, especially among downtown workers and curious foodies looking for a cheap, offbeat experience.
So what’s on the menu? Think crispy fried chicken, grilled veggies, pasta, salad, and fruit—your classic buffet lineup, served hot and fresh by a surprisingly serious kitchen team. Word on the street is it’s better than a lot of $20 lunches you’ll find in SoMa these days.
Right now, the buffet is only happening on Thursdays from 11:30am to 2pm. The club says they’re planning to add Fridays soon and eventually bring it back five days a week if the crowds return.
If you’re working downtown or just want a cheap meal with a side of “only in SF” energy, this might be your new favorite lunch spot. No reservations needed—just bring your appetite, your sense of humor, and your singles (tip your dancers, folks).
