Golden Gate Bandshell Hosts 110+ Free Concerts in 2022

Golden Gate Bandshell welcomes back live performances with a diverse lineup of musicians to play free concerts at historic landmark.

Live music has returned to the Golden Gate Bandshell’s iconic stage with a series of free outdoor concerts in Golden Gate Park, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, San Francisco Parks Alliance and the arts nonprofit Illuminate announced

The lineup of performers returning to the stage is diverse and local—rock and reggae bands, Latin jazz players and R&B singers, big band musicians  and string ensembles, West African and South Asian drummers and dancers, as well as homegrown stars like Lavay Smith and her Red Hot Skillet Lickers.

The free, all-ages concerts will run through the end of 2022, with Singer-Songwriter Wednesdays, Jazz and Soul Fridays, Cultural and Community groups on Saturdays, and Reggae Sundays, as well as many special events, including the RPD Tree Lighting with Holiday Music Dec. 1.

  • Fri 12/09 (4:30-7:30pm) – Soul/Jazz/R&B Happy Hour – Jazz with Charged Particles (2 Sets)
  • Sat 12/10 (12:00 to 4:00 pm) – GGP Bandshell Holiday Hootenanny with 10 Singer/Songwriters doing 3 holiday songs each.

December 10th is the last show of 2022! See you in February 2023!
