For the first time in 22 years, see some of the best horseshoe pitchers in the state come to San Francisco to try for ringers and compete in the fully sanctioned 2011 Golden Gate Classic on October 22nd at 9:30am.
The tournament, which takes place at the Horseshoe Pits in the northeast corner of Golden Gate Park, is free and open to the public to watch. Expect to see some former world champions playing along with Kimmy Stockli, current and five-time California State Women’s champion throw 100 horseshoes and try to get the most ringers.
